This past Sunday Ann and I had the pleasure to shoot some unique engagement photos for Kaddi & Chris. What makes them unique is the location, Chris’ parents back yard! What a great place to shoot it was, we roamed around from tall grass fields, empty farm fields and even an old quarry/pond. I absolutely love going and shooting new places, it really makes to think and work to get a good shot instead of doing the same thing that I know will work. The weather was fantastic and warm for such a late fall day. Kaddi & Chris were great in front of the camera, super comfortable and ready to be photographed, they made my job pretty easy! Enough talking from me…how about I show you some of the fantastic images we all created together!

Meet Sarah, a 2013 grad from Avon High School. Sarah was a blast to shoot a few weeks ago (behind on blogging :)). We started off our session in my studio in the Stutz right in Downtown Indianapolis, and then headed north a few blocks to shoot in the Holcomb Gardens area on Butlers Campus Together we created some really nice senior portraits for her and her family, check out the slideshow below and be sure to hit my facebook fan page to see more!
Check out some of Cara & Clay’s engagement photos! The three of us had a blast walking all over the grounds of the IMA and the canal in downtown Indianapolis. Cara was a real trooper the entire time, she selected the biggest heals that I have ever photographed anyone in (probably not, I just like being dramatic) and didn’t say a word as I drug them all over town, usually in places that heels are not the proper footwear. I hope you all enjoy the images, and Ann and I are really looking forward to shooting your wedding in the spring!
Alexa, her mother, little sister and I had a blast wondering around the Fountain Square neighborhood in Indianapolis a few Saturday mornings ago. I have never shot in this area before, so the session was a blast for me. I love going new places and being forced to try new things and find an acceptable location to shoot her senior pictures. When I end up shooting in the same locations over and over it can sometimes be too easy to fall into the same pose in the same place because you know it will work. Pushing myself and being willing to go to new locations (I prefer it!) keeps shooting portraits exciting for me, and when I am excited I create better photos! Anyway, enough blabbering from me, lets see some pictures!

Last weekend I had the pleasure to shoot some senior pictures for Jared. Jared is a class of 2013 member of Avon High School, so I know him well. We spent the evening wandering around the old tree farm that is behind his family’s home. The forest made for a great spot for Jared’s senior photos. We also found ourselves wandering the banks of the near by White Lick Creek as the sun was setting for some great images. Jared is quite the accomplished artist himself and will be perusing a college degree in art next year. Check out the slideshow below and be sure to see more over on my Facebook fan page… don’t forget to like it to see all my Indianapolis Senior Pictures updates!
