Meet Marissa, and check out her Bishop Chatard Senior Photos. I met up with Marissa back in the early fall (behind on blogging I know) at Holcomb Gardens on the Butler University campus to shoot her senior portraits. I love the garden areas around that campus and along the central canal tow path, I always seem to find something new to work with!
Last weekend Ann and I went down to shoot some Indianapolis Engagement Photos with Kirby & Mark. We met up at the Indianapolis Art Center in Broad Ripple and hopped on the Monon Trail. Kind of embarrassed to say that I have never been on the Monon and I have lived here my entire life. It was a cool place. We found lots of wooded trails that ran along side the trail that made for some nice photos, as well as the trail itself! After shooting on the Monon for awhile, we headed into Broad Ripple, and Mark & Kirby changed into their respective college and colts gear for some photos. Our last stop was Kilroy’s for a photo outside and some delicious stuffed bread sticks on the inside. Ann and I are really looking forward to their September wedding!
Fall in Indiana can be so weird. If you were around on October 30th you most likely saw all the fog that covered the area pretty much all day. For some reason I am really drawn to fog, and I never seem to get the opportunity to shoot any photos in it. Usually the fog is burnt off by the time I get home from my teaching job, but not earlier this week! While the fog was starting to lift, there was still plenty to get in some great landscape images at the local park. When I got home from school, I only had a short time before I had to be back at school for an event that night, so I grabbed my trusty hiking partner Oscar and we headed down the road to Washington Township Park in Avon, which connects to our neighborhood via a walking path. We seem to spend alot of time hiking and running the trails and paths in the park, so I had a pretty good idea where I wanted to go and shoot some photos. Oscar and I spent about an hour and a half walking around the park shooting photos and smelling all the smells (Oscar, not me)
